Or is it the waste land?

The river bears no empty bottles, sandwich papers,
Silk handkerchiefs, cardboard boxes, cigarette ends
Or other testimony of summer nights. The nymphs are departed.
                            And their friends...

No, with apologies to Mr. Elliot, I think ghost town fits better.  A ghost town in the old west was almost always the product of a "flash flood" of humanity, rushing in to collect their share of the gold vein or other precious discovery.  Towns sprung up almost overnight, full of lively excitement.  When the mine petered out or whatever the reason for the towns existence left, so did the people.

The buildings are left, accumulating dust, weathering with age.  An occasional visitor will pass through and remember, but those visits grow less frequent with the passing of time.

Life goes on.

I know we don't come around here a lot anymore (as implied by mk's deep reflection up top) but I don't have facebook and I can't really reach you all otherwise. So if someone would be kind enough to pass this along on facebook to your friends and the other culties that would be amazing.

You may or may not have heard of the ChartJackers. They're a group of four guys who got together on YouTube to perform an experiment while making it a charitable cause at the same time. They challenged themselves and the people of the internet to see if a full-length song could be produced solely by the power of volunteers and the power of the internet and if it could breach the top-40 radio chart in the UK. It took several weeks of dedication by the ChartJackers to piece together a legitimate song, with the BBC documenting the entire effort, and the project has culminated with the release of "Ive Got Nothing" on iTunes. But the internet's place in this isn't over yet. All proceeds of the song, and I mean all, go to Children in Need a charity aimed towards disadvantaged children suffering from physical and mental disabilities, poverty, and abuse.

I don't ask you to like the song or even listen to it (though it is quite catchy). I'm asking you to spare 79p (99c) to help children who have nothing but what those with big hearts can give to them and to prove that the internet is a force with which to be reckoned.

Thanks

CULTY NEWS

ALL THE NEWS ALL THE TIME *…well sometimes…*

GOING GOING…gone?...but not forgotten? Culty Decline 2009

   OR

Old people are old and make me laugh!

Friend of Culty, anti-stupid activist and Culty member MK, recently posted on the ALL KNOWING VAST MACHICE…aka…”internet” that membership activity was down on the, once filled to overflowing, Culty site.  There has been as little as ONE post per day echoes most of the original Culty members!

For those of you who don’t know and those who have forgotten, Culty is a place to discuss and worship internet superstar Chris Leavins, and his weekly show Cute with Chris - www.cutewithchris.com .

Was the ALL KNOWING VAST MACHINE…refer to paragraph one for definition…trying to block Cult members from posting, perhaps, by making Cult member’s type extra words only to frustrate them off the site or by using hypnosis to make them forget their log in and password!

Maybe the “Grid” is trying to block members from taking part in secluded events, by hosting Cult events in distant and far off lands such as “Los Angeles” and the mystical holy land of “Toronto”.                    Most members live to far away to attend these “so-called” events*…and/or are too lazy and forgetful to attend...anyway…

…this seasoned reporter thinks that the “VAKM” maybe using internet videos to craft false scenarios and lies about Cult Members to force us on to other sites and/ or worse OFF THE INTERNET! The best defense for Cult Members is to take out their Polaroid’s and gets still images of these offenses…thousands of them. If this proves too difficult use extra photos and paste them together creating scenarios of you under attach, to support charges of criminal conspiracy by the “VAKM” – you know “they’d” do the same!...ok anyway…*

I spoke with veteran cult member MK,  practicly practically the smartest one out of the bunch, about why cult activity was in decline?

“Life goes on” is what Cult member MK had to say responding with superior knowledge and charm on the Decline of Culty 2009!

There is light, however small at the end of the Culty tunnel with the introduction and release of “The Captain”!

This long awaited release has sparked a wave of “Guest Visitor’s” to Culty.  Is this ”Written Word” a new way for Cult members to hear the message of a GOD *…once again that’s –Chris Leavins, and his weekly show Cute With Chris,  www.cutewithchris.com...*  Will the return of good old fashion reading be the “new” NATION OF CULTY! Only time on the internet will tell!

Lor Blitzer signing off

I really like the video.  It strikes the right balance of pretty good amateurism with a really catchy tune.  And of course, after finding out how much the BBC was involved, I'm more than a bit skeptical.  But that's me.

And I did buy a copy.

CURSE HAVING NO EDIT BUTTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's why you need to log in.  You wrote that excellent piece of reporting as a guest.  Guestians don't have the power to edit.

What you still could do is copy it and paste it into a new reply after you log in and then you could delete the original guest version.  After doing that, then you can edit the version you copied into the logged in post.

I have to admit, I have been searching.  I think I may have found what I've been looking for.

On 25 acres surrounded by moo cows and hay.  Cell phone pics not very good, but you get the idea.

I used to hunt for eggs, but it wasn't much of a challenge.

Besides, the sound of the gun going off upset the chickens.

OK Sort of Funny story

My Sister (yes the slutty one for any of you who remember) was born on 5/7/1970

and just got a new cell phone number that ended with 1970.

Ok so she calls our Dad to give it to him and he says:

Dad "OH - I know that date!!! Do you know what that date is???"

Sister "Ya I do Daddy!!!"

Dad "YEP the year I quit smoking!"

Sister 0_o

HOORAY I CAN EDIT - *I hate when MK is right!*
